Potentiostats for Electrochemistry
Since 1976, the German company Zahner-Elektrik is developing and manufacturing innovative high-precision instruments such as potentiostats and galvanostats for all kinds of electrochemical and photoelectrochemical applications. Our multi-disciplinary team of developers is always in contact with users and at the same time at the front line of technology development.
Potentiostat customized to suit your needs.
Zahner potentiostats can be equipped with multiple plug and play addon cards, which introduce additional analog and digital in- & output signals. This modular function makes Zahner's potentiostats very flexible and allows the possibility to customize the potentiostat to suit the needs of its users.
Remote control of IM7 potentiostat
The IM7 potentiostats can operated remotely via the zahner_link API. The zahner_link libraries communicate with an IM7 potentiostat via WebSocket connections, exchanging JSON objects. Built with a C++ core, the zahner_link also offers Python bindings for simplified programming.

Zweipol-Hilbert transformation
Zweipol-Hilbert transformation (Z-HIT) allows the detection of non-stationarity and mutual inductivity in the measured EIS spectrum. The limitation of Kramers-Kronig does not apply to Z-HIT which ensure a better evaluation of the measured EIS spectrum than Kramers-Kronig transformation. .
Custom Experiment Builder
The Custom Experiment Builder application in Zahner Lab enables easy implementation of extensive experimental routines by assembling basic measurement techniques as modular building blocks. Using drag-and-drop, users can combine blocks into automated sequences for repeatable electrochemical test protocols and complex experiment designs.
Zahner's CIMPS system is developed for characterizing the PEC and PV systems. The CIMPS system ensures a constant and controlled light illumination during the measurement. Ability to precisely control the light intensity during the measurements makes the CIMPS one of its kind and much better setup than traditional setups for PEC or PV characterizations.
Zahner IM7 potentiostats connect via Ethernet and support full remote control. The zahner_link libraries communicates with the IM7 via WebSocket connections, exchanging JSON objects. Built with a C++ core, zahner_link also offers Python bindings for simplified programming.
With the Custom Experiment Builder, experiment routines can be created quickly and converted into Python code with a single click, eliminating the need to write the complete code manually. These features make IM7 potentiostats ideal for automated electrochemical measurements and custom system integration.
